Red Overview
Red, mainly dessert
The apples in this section are all various shades of red, from dark brown maroon to bright scarlet to deep rich crimson. Some start green with a few stripes but they finish more or less all over red on ripening. Some have red stripes over a red flush, some have a more uniform colour scheme and some retain patches of green or yellow. The general impression, however should be of red apples when several are seen together or on the tree.
Some are cookers and this is clearly shown in the text.
